Industry stalwart retires after 32 years
Thomas Elliott Fertilisers has announced the retirement of one its longest serving sales managers - Christine Hall.
The industry stalwart joined the company back in 1989 as the sales office manager and has witnessed the company go through several changes, including its acquisition by Synchemicals in 2007.
During her 32 years with the company, Chris has built an enviable reputation within the industry due to her passion for developing and nurturing client relationships and will be greatly missed by both customers and colleagues alike.
“I have loved every minute working at Thomas Elliott, and it is by far the friendliest trade I have ever worked in. I will miss our customers, who were more like friends, and everyone I have worked with during my time there,” says Chris Hall, sales manager at Thomas Elliott Fertilisers.
Despite her retirement, Chris has not fully relinquished her sales role and will be assisting the team at this year’s Saltex exhibition in November before saying her final farewells.
“Chris has been an integral part of the sales team for many years, and we will miss her enthusiasm, positive attitude and commitment to both the company and our customers,” says Carl Welsh, managing director and group CEO.
“Saltex will be a fitting farewell and an opportunity to say farewell to customers and contacts she has built up over the years. We wish her a long and happy retirement.”
Greg O’Leary, who is charged with filling the void Chris leaves at Thomas Elliott Fertilisers, says: “Chris’s reputation and standing within the industry is almost legendary. She has clearly enhanced the good name and reputation of our company and she will be sorely missed.”
